Vomiting & Diarrhoea -Guidance

ALL cases of vomiting and diarrhoea should be regarded as infectious.

 Children and staff members who have symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea should be excluded from school until they have been symptom free for 48 hours.

 All cases should be cared for using precautions such as thorough hand washing, protective gloves and toilet seats flush handles taps door handles should be cleaned daily with hot water and detergent.

 Our policy at Groombridge Pre-school is that no child should come to a session until they have been free of both vomiting and diarrhoea for 48 hours.

This policy is known, agreed and implemented by all staff.

 This policy is known and made available to all parents.
