Weekly Newsletter,
December, Week 4 - week commencing 25th November
Dear All,
The singing is getting louder with the children learning lots of new words to our Christmas songs, please keep up the extra practice at home. We have looked at lots of different nursery rhymes this week and we are still managing to get outside lots which the children are loving especially playing with the piles of leaves.
This week we will be practising our nativity and starting lots of Christmassy craft, just in case your child comes home a little sparkly!
Our letter this week will be U and we shall concentrate on the phonetic sound of U for Ugg and not “you”. Everyone who brings in news beginning with our letter will get a sticker. However, all news is good news and is a great way of developing personal, social and emotional skills as well as speech and language. We will also be looking at countries beginning with our letter of the week, there are seven countries beginning with U this week although only one of them begins with the phonetic sound – Uzbekistan.
Our snack this week will be a selection of Humus and breadsticks with baby tomatoes.
We have reviewed our drop off and collection policy which is effective immediately. We no longer have a one way system and shall be using just the main entrance door to access and leave the setting. Please ensure that you always close the gate behind you which will be locked at 9.15 each morning. If you arrive after this time, please use the bell and a member of staff will let you in straight away. Although we appreciate you may wish to talk to the staff at drop off and collection, can I ask that you do so inside the hall please. We are always very happy if you would like to arrange to come in fifteen minutes before pick up for a longer discussion with your child’s key worker.
Thank you for the many donations of toys for the Christmas Fayre, we really need bottles now for the tombola and jam jars filled with sweets, thank you.
Please ensure your child has a named, non-spill bottle with just water each day, no juice please and that all lunch boxes are also very clearly named.
Can I remind everyone to take their children to the toilet on the way in please. This is still proving to be very helpful.
Please contact us before 9.30am if your child will not be attending their session on our main number which is 01892 861 113 for our register, thank you.
We look forward to seeing everyone.
Kind regards, Jeannette
