Cancellation & Payment Policy
It is our policy at Groombridge School to allocate places and arrange sufficient staffing numbers well in advance allowing for maximum flexibility and the best possible staff ratios.
Although the pre-school would like to be more flexible in its approach to session attendances and payments we are still a small business and in order for us to accurately forecast our finances to provide the correct staffing levels and materials for pre-school, the following information applies if you wish to cancel/move/increase or decrease your child(s) session(s).
We require that parents should notify us of any reduction in sessions at least one full ½ term in advance, otherwise the full remuneration will be due.
Fees are paid ½ termly at the start of each ½ term and cover each session your child is booked on. If you do not attend a session due to sickness or holiday or other engagements that payment ensures that your place remains open ready for your return. Refunds will not be given for missed sessions.
We cannot exchange sessions for one-off periods as we have strict staff level ratios that must be met. If your child does not attend a session another session is not provided to make up for this.
We cannot provide additional session without additional payment. Again payments are per session regardless of your attendance.
Lunch Club is still a session – pre-school provides the correct staffing ratio and educational materials.
Holidays – refunds will not be given for absence due to holidays.
Sickness (occasional) - refunds will not be given for absence due to sickness.
Sickness (long term) – depending upon your individual circumstances the pre-school will give special consideration to your request. Please notify the pre-school at the earliest opportunity and we will write back to you within 2 weeks.
This policy is known, agreed and implemented by all staff and committee.
