We are open and welcoming to ALL families in the community. It is our intention to make our setting accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community through open, fair and clearly communicated procedures. We will make it clear that we welcome both the father and mother, other relations and other carers including child-minders and people from all cultural, ethnic religious and social groups with or without disabilities and medical needs

We will ensure that information about our setting is accessible, in written and spoken form and, where appropriate, in more than one language. Where necessary, we will try to provide information in Braille, or through British Sign Language. We will provide translated written materials where language needs of families suggest this is required as well as access to an interpreter.

Registration fee is £20 which includes a pre-school bag and t-shirt, this will be charged on your first half termly invoice.

It is our intention to give every child a place at each session the parent/carer requests. In the event of having to operate a waiting list we would arrange the list as follows:

  1. Children resident in GROOMBRIDGE

  2. Date of Birth, (elder before younger), but with provision to be made for newcomers to the village

  3. Brother or sister attending the group

  4.  The wider community

  5. Urgent Need.  In the case of urgent need, we would negotiate with OFSTED for a dispensation regarding group numbers

Your child’s space will be confirm the half term prior to starting Pre-School unless a space comes available mid term.

Our policy is to take children from 2 years old, we offer only half day sessions for 2 year old’s which can include lunch club (am 9am til 12noon) lunch Club 12noon til 1pm (pm 1pm til 3pm), once your child turns 3 they can join us for a full day 9am til 3pm.

Parents will be asked to complete a registration form and provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate.  Information held will be strictly confidential and kept separately from other records about the child.

We are flexible about attendance patterns to accommodate the needs of individual children and families, providing these do not disrupt the pattern of continuity in the setting that provides stability for all the children.

We aim to accommodate each child from the date specified on their application form in accordance with spaces available at the time. Parents/carers will be informed of availability during the half term before their child is due to start, at which time an induction session, will also be arranged for you and your child.

Parents will be billed at the beginning of each half term and are asked to pay within 2 weeks
